Our son knows we are always looking for another project.  He came across an ad on Facebook Marketplace for 25 acres for sale on the SE side of Cedar Rapids.  He sent us the link on a Thursday, we made the call to the owner on Friday, looked at it on Saturday, and owned it by Sunday!  

 

We did a little research prior to looking at it and discovered there was another 40 acre field adjacent to the 25 acres that were for sale.  We hoped we could purchase the whole 65 acres, since the back 40 was land-locked.  When we talked with the owner, he said he had decided to sell the entire 65 acres.  We were thrilled!  To add to the overall excitement, he had over 140 calls on it and he chose to sell it to us!

 

Throughout this whole process, our goal has always been to honor the land.  Both of us grew up in the country and appreciate the natural beauty and design of the world around us.  Our vision is to let the land tell us how best to develop it and by doing so, honor the space it currently occupies.
